The Vintage Collections Fair Preview

It’s the most exciting time of year for the city’s fashionistas, London Fashion Week is here and the The Vintage Collections are at Clerkenwell Vintage Fashion Fair this Sunday. In our new Shoreditch venue, The Yard, home to sample sales and catwalk shows throughout the year, we’ll have the best designer vintage labels and unique pre-loved styles that inspire modern works of fashion. While the models will be showing off SS18 over on The Strand, the design teams will be busy at The Yard picking out design motifs to begin work on AW18, and the best part is, we’re open to the public to shop alongside them!

Regulars to the fair will have their list of favourite traders picked out as many of our traders return again including Jackie Crocker of The Antique and Vintage Wardrobe, Heather Johns of Chi Chi Ra Ra, Liz Sephton of Vintage Collective London, Silk and Rope, House of Vintage, Paula Roberedo Rondon, London Vintage, Lady Jane’s Vintage Bandwagon and Dulcie Britain. From 1930s marabou-trim dresses to Biba coats, workwear and 1980s leather jackets, our cherry-picked traders have varying expertise and specialisms to cater to every style hunter.

We’re welcoming back some traders after a short break too. Jenny Bannister of Belle Epic with breath-taking Victorian and Edwardian antique pieces for men and women including a particular beautiful array of fans.

Linda Powell of A Loose Arrangement has teamed up with David Hill of Little Venice Vintage to combine their designer collections, of which Linda built up during her time as a celebrity stylist. Perfect for label lovers or looking for inspiration for future collections.

Emily Thomas of Darlings Vintage returns with a stunning selection of womenswear, carefully picked for their interesting designs and provenance, in particular eveningwear to include some Ossie Clarke, ideal for all the London Fashion Week after parties!

If you’re one of Julie Alpine’s many Instagram followers at She Wears The Trousers you’ll be happy to know she’s back to clear out her closet and give you the chance to get your hands on some funky retro pieces.

There’s always something fresh to discover at Clerkenwell Vintage Fashion Fair and we’re delighted to have Luke Wareing of Watch U Wareing with us for the first time.

Luke specialises in rare watches and accessories, many making their exclusive debut at the fair.

Vintage shopping is thirsty work so pop out to our courtyard food truck for prosecco cocktails or refuel with some lunch for all dietary tastes and needs made from locally-sourced produce. You can usually find Roving Café’s vintage Piaggio parked in the Nomadic Community Gardens in Shoreditch but for one day only they’ll be bringing a taste of this cool hangout down the road to us.

It’s the most fashionable time of the year in London and we look forward to greeting many stylists, designers, and industry guests this Sunday, as well as sharp-eyed vintage shoppers, to The Yard.

Clerkenwell Vintage Fashion Fair’s London Fashion Week special takes place on Sunday 17th September 2017 from 11am until 5pm at The Yard, 89 & 1/2 Worship Street, London, EC2A 2BF.
