Spring Fair Preview

We hope to see you this Sunday 22nd April at our spring show celebrating 9 years, proving that vintage clothing is not the latest trend but the demand for fabulous clothes from decades past is here to stay. So get ready to peruse over 50 traders in the stunning Freemasons’ Hall offering fashion, accessories and textiles from 1900s-1990s.

Inside our stunning NEW home in the heart of Covent Garden we have returning traders, many of which have been with us since the very beginning and new traders ready with the latest additions to your wardrobes. Paula Roberedo Vintage; stylist, art director and founder of B.Luxo in Brazil will be back with a highly coveted collection of vintage men’s, womenswear and accessories from ready-to-wear pieces as well as some stunning evening ensembles with exquisite detail. Spanning decades from early 1900s-1990s, each piece is selected for it’s unique design feature.

Another returning trader, Hope & Harlequin from Brighton with a beautiful ‘seasonal’ collection of vintage focusing on design, cut, fabric and print. Each item is cherry-picked for it’s unique qualities and loving restored and tailored if need be for the perfect fit to give a more modern feel. Louise, the founder of H&H also specializes in stunning ethereal vintage wedding dresses and made-to-measure vintage recreations from their collection.

After a long sojourn Bernie Bailes returns to our family of traders at CVFF with a great collection of womenswear from 1940s. A favourite with vintage aficionado’s and design teams looking for details. Expect to find frocks, separates and accessories. From simple daywear to sensational eveningwear and quirky one-off pieces.

Looking for a stylish time piece? Luke Wareing returns this Sunday with his collection of vintage and antique watches for the discerning gentlemen and style conscious women searching for something different from the norm that allow the wearer to show their individual vintage style. From the traditional wristwatch to unique collectible pocket watches all fully tested and in good working order.

What’s new? We welcome Ornella Bijoux. Since 1944 Ornella Bijoux has crafted over 30’000 pieces of fine jewellery, some of which have exhibited at the V&A and Palazzo Reale in Milan. The brand has also created pieces for the fashion industry to include Dolce & Gabbana, Borbonese, Swarovski and Celine. Meet the family and browse their collection dating from 1960s-1990s at our spring show.

Galina Sherry founder of Gigi’s Dressing Room has been a customer of ours since we launched CVFF in 2009. Galina joins us for the 1st time as a trader this Sunday with womenswear and accessories from the 30s to the 90s to include pieces from designers such as Dior, YSL and Givenchy as well as the late Annie Curtis-Jones vintage collection. Most of you will remember Annie well from our fairs who we sadly lost at the end of last year. Annie was a favourite among design teams and showbiz as well as being a renowned costume designer for theatre and television and a great mentor to vintage enthusiasts such as Galina. Among this collection will be pieces of womenswear from the 20s through to 90s couture including designers such as Courreges and Thierry Mugler.

Another new name, Rebecca Drake Hopkins Blue Angel Jewellery is the stand for predominantly jewellery and some accessories to include fans, gloves, bags and hair ornaments ranging from Victorian to 1980s. Rebecca is based in Kent and specializes in the 1st half of the century, particularly Art Deco jewellery. We love this gorgeous art deco enamel alpine flower pendant.

”Be individual, be ferocious, be you!” Be sure to stop by street style vintage brand The Style Merchants curated by fashion stylist Simone Sylvester. A fan of colour, prints and textures championing individuality and uniqueness. Pick up some sensational pieces like this 80s Thierry Mugler jacket and some serious style tips too…

First-time trader Stacey Does Vintage specializes in vintage and antique finds including jewellery, handbags, faux fur, trinkets and more. This fabulous Art Deco bag will be coming with her on Sunday.

Lastly we welcome the Concordia Foundation to our spring fair with their spectacular vintage fashion and costume collection. All the proceeds go to their charity to help continue building bridges through the arts. Natasha Day (soprano) will be hosting the sale and we will have donation boxes at reception.
